Florian & Colleen Gostner
Colleen grew up in Michigan in a Christian home and as a young child, around the age of seven years old, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. At the age of 14 years old she participated in her first of many short term missions trips. She was greatly impacted while serving on that trip and the Lord began to develop in her a heart for serving Him. At the age of 16, she began to realize the need for the hope and truth of the Gospel of Christ and felt a calling on her life to serve the Lord through missions. She then began praying about becoming a missionary and sought to wait on the Lord’s timing.
While completing her elementary education degree at Oakland University, she began to realize the importance of having Biblical knowledge and growing towards maturity in the Lord’s truths. So, she attended Spring Bible School 2012 at Capernwray Bible School in England, which gave an intense semester of Bible training. Upon completion of spring school she spent time serving in Innsbruck, Austria with her cousins, the Kistenich family. During that time the Lord led her to pursue ministry in Innsbruck, Austria and since then, she joined TITUS International in December of 2012.
Colleen serves among the Baptist church in Innsbruck. Her main focus while serving in Austria is to share the Gospel of Christ among the people and disciple the youth girls and women. Her purpose and heart is to encourage, strengthen and assist each girl in her knowledge, understanding and relationship with the Lord aiming for continued growth towards maturity in Christ. She also works with the refugee team in Innsbruck, ministering to young refugee women.
In April 2014, Colleen married her husband Florian, who is a native Austrian. Flo has a heart for preaching the Word of God and the two of them enjoy serving together, hosting small groups in their home and discipling younger believers.
